I'd like to hear what you think about Ann Coulter - she has caught my attention as a conservative writer....why do you like or dislike her?

I love her and I just bought her book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism"

She knows where the "hot buttons" of the left are and she jams down on them hard. By what she says and the reactions that she receives, she illustrates that what she is saying is true.

Her book called "slander" was just beautiful. In it she described how the left likes to brand someone as a "right-wing nutjob" "nazi" "facist" "racist" - they slander someone so that people can write them off and not deal with the ideas that they are presenting. I can say I see it done all the time. Go read the book reviews for Godless that just came out. About 200 people gave it 1 star with no other reason than "this is a bunch of lies" or "she is a jerk" or "this is trash" - obviously 200 people who hate Ann coulter haven't bought her book the minute it came out only to bash it on amazon.com.

I can't wait to get my copy.

I'm not such a fan of Ann Coulter, but...

Hi there...
I would love to help you understand the Orthodox faith more. I would consider it an honor to help someone grow to understand the faith more. I'm sorry that your own Orthodox relatives haven't been of more help, but sometimes when something is second nature to you, you have difficulty being able to answer questions posed by a newcomer. What kind of Orthodox is your family? Greek? Russian? My mother's family is Orthodox, but I myself was raised as an Episcopalian and converted recently. I guess I should start by asking if you have any questions I can answer for you as that would be the most reasonable place to start. Anyway just let me know where you'd like to start and I'll do my best to help you along the way. By the way my name is Aaron. Nice to meet you.

Well...something catastrophic took place on 6/6/6 after all, folks. Ann Coulter put out a new book!!!! Anybody who makes a statement like "Kill them and convert the rest to Christianity" right after 9/11 is seriously f'd in the head. Yeah, like converting them to Christianity is going to help. She deserves to be strung up by her big old cross necklace. I mean, the drivel this woman comes out with, I'd swear she fried her brain with more acid and cocaine than I did!!!!!!

She's a trip and some of the things she writes can be rather harsh but sometimes that's the only way to get people to listen.

And for those that have no idea who she is and haven't read any of the books here's a quick quote out of her book..

"I am a openly gay, pro-choice, gun owning, pro-death penalty, liberal, voted-for-Reagan, feminist....and yet in 1990, I became the president of the Los Angeles chapter of the...NOW"--Ann Coulter

So, you see for some liberals it was the ultimate betrayal that she "switched" sides.

I recently heard her in a debate with Al Franken, and yes, she's a captivating speaker, and yes, she can articulate her thoughts, but she fails to formulate her ideas fully and is incapable of creating supportable arguments. She is incapable of seeing another's point of view and is completely unwilling to concede on principle. I think she's a wretched commentator, who only deserves air time from Rupert Murdoch and his conservative cronies. Beyond being a pathetic journalist, she is also a rude and uncanny woman who should be more supportive of her country. And honestly, what was that woman doing wearing a cocktail dress on national television at 7:00 in the morning?

I would like to see Ms. Coulter do something positive for the country instead of lighting fires and causing uproars in search of her own fortune.
In reality she is a very dumb woman. She's already had eggs and pies thrown at her.
I'm afraid she's going to have to wear a bullet-proof vest from now on.
What a stupid, stupid woman.

Hate and anger to respond to an argument?? Isn't how the terrorists respond.? Aren'e we supposed to have communication and discourse.? She reminds me of the people who win arguments not on the strength of their argument but that they can be louder and more outrageous than their opponent.

If you cant answer with reason you may as well disparage your opponents.

Please pray for her and her victums.

Good Luck and God Bless!!

well, anyone that reduces things to their most base level by belittling someone else for their beliefs or convictions just by virtue of the fact that they don't agree with you is someone i have a hard time taking seriously. that is a behavior and tactic that most people gave up when they became adults, but i'm sure it sells many books.

I love her and wish I could be more like her! She illustrates absurdity by being absurd. I think she's great. Cuts through the garbage.
