Really depends on what state you live in and what court you went to.

If you had the restraining order taken out at the Magistrate, simply go back before the court and explain why you want it removed.

Since you are the one that took it out, they will probably honor your request to remove it.

Some states have a limit on the length of an restraining order...like 90 days or six months.... check that out also.

But I think if you allow ur son around without calling the cops you automatically break it

file a Request for Dismissal in the court in which the case was opened

My guess would be to go to the courthouse and have it done there - the same courthouse where the original RO was filed.
