I haven't yet gotten to inherit all the weird stuff my family has. The weirdest thing I own is an old flint hand axe. My dad owns a sitar (Indian stringed instrument) and a preColumbian Inca pot.

A cactus bone that sits in the corner of my living room. A cactus bone is what is underneath a cactus if you were to peel away the cactus. It stands about 4 ft high. It basically is like wood. My cat likes to sharpen his nails on it, and it saves my house and furniture. I got it when I lived in Arizona.

It's not mine (personally I would never have bought it but hey, you gotta keep the missus happy), but we have a 19th Century toilet chair in our house!

My wife saw it at an auction in London (not knowing what it was) and bought it. It wasn't until we got it home that we realized the seat part lifted up to reveal another seat with a hole in the middle...they used to just place a bucket under there to collect your droppings! Crazy huh?

I used to have this giant inflatable platypus, but it went the way of the dodo at a party one day.

now, I would have to say it's my cold weather gear. down parka, extra thick ski-pants, thermal undies, wool scarf/hat/gloves/pants, giant over-gloves, sno-pac boots, extra thick sweater. combined it's good to -55C, possibly lower - but I never had a chance to test it below -55. not too weird in the Yukon (where I grew up), but I live in sunny southern BC now - doesn't get below -15C in the coldest part of winter.

A donkeys outfit, just ears and tail. I got it as a silly gift for a friend, but haven't seen her in ages to give it to her and I'm too lazy to post it. So i have it for a while rather than own it

Hummmmmmm..... weirdest? Gosh, I don't know. OH! I know. For valentines day I got a pen the lights up with you use it and it is all pink with a heart on top (that is the light up part) and it has pink fuzzy feathers on it. Is that weird enough? :)

Since matterial possesions are never really ours I would say the closest thing to owning something is ones self in the sense of the inner you. So my virtue what there may or may not be of it.
