without feeling suffocated...lol, good luck. you are better off inviting friends over to watch it at your home...the dorms here at C.L.S.G. are already planning on parties during the World Cup. GO ROONEY!! KICK SOME **** BOYS!!

The Walkabout on Victoria Embankment. Come out of Temple tube, turn right onto the Embankment and right again. Huge bar, light and airy and with plenty of screens.

Or if you're in the City, try The Prodigal on Wood Street off London Wall. Nearest tubes, St.Paul's, Moorgate and Barbican.

Some pubs are ticket only entry for England matches - usually a fiver per ticket. Best check beforehand.

Any pub with a large screen.

Unfortunately you won't be able to get away from the crowds during this time, but then that's what makes it all worth while and a great experience.

Trick is to get there early to get the best seats, preferable near the bar, but also in a good view of the screen to watch the game.
