I have only watched one episode; but I think it could get the general American pschye to be able to accept female in a predential role.

YES, ad companies sponsor it - I am talking about her influencing it; and yes by use of money or connections.

Benefited her? Because the protagonist just happens to be the same gender as her?

Anyway, No. If she could sponsor a tv show she could afford to sponsor the purchase of voting machines that actually have paper trails

How on earth does that benefit her? And how could she have "sponsored" it? You need to understand TV shows are sponsored by ads from companies, not private individuals. How could that show have benefited her anyway? It wasn't about her at all and did not reflect her life in any way. I watched it and liked it, so I can say I don't get your point.
