Hi. I'm a coin dealer in the Midwest. Sounds like you have a 1930 Lincoln "Wheat" cent. If it is in just "average circulated" condition, it's only worth a few cents. If it is "Uncirculated", with no trace of wear or injury, just the way it left the mint, it can be worth as much as $20-30. Chances are yours is likely used, however. Keep it for a conversation piece or to get a kid interested in collecting. Hope this info helps

At a coin shop or places like that it's probably not worth much, i have an american penny from 1867 and it wasn't worth **** at the places i called. However, you might try private coin collectors.
