The AMD Athlon is better for gaming..and the Intel Pentium is better for multi-tasking stuff..so its up to you..go by what you plan to do the most with your computer

that is depend for your usage. Because for the cost AMD is cheaper the intel and no matter the AMD Athrlon XP serias very good the cost also cheaper the intel...
but some game just can run under intel processor, AMD didnt support it, too sad to say that......

will argue that Intel is better for high performance gaming systems but thats just personal choice..Intel products are a bit more expensive than the amd stuff but is rock solid reliable and 100% compatible with Intel CPU's..dont look any further when looking for speed ,reliability and good quality

if you are looking at dual core processors...amd has the edge because of the cache/processor communication. Intel clocks higher speeds but when programs become intense it will lag.
look at intel as a one lane highway. when things aren't busy you're fine....but don't get caught in traffic. AMD---4 lane highway

I have a AMD Athlon(tm) Processor and I like it! I never had a intel before!

price (high/ low )
heat or tempruture (normal / very high )
crash or hang ( normal /very very more )
speed (so /so )
in win base software intel recomnded becuse microsoft devloped os and server software over intel/ibm platform
for example ms-sql server 2000 crashed over non intel cpu
iis 5 web server so
win 2003 server so
if you like working with microsoft product (windows ,sql server -word ) just intel recomanded for other case be remeber amd have more tempruter and more power (very imporatant for laptop battry time)

Intel is poplular but AMD is best.
AMD stock is way up than intel.

amd has less cost as intel... but it has less speed than intel... it means booth are better ....
