how big of a tank do i need to House 20 baby guppies?

Generally, you should only have 1" of fish per gallon, so depending on how big you want them to get, you can determine how big of a tank you need. This is just rule of thumb.

I am keeping about 20" of babies in a 10 gallon tank. I dont have any decorations. By the way, they are not territorial. The males do pick on the females though. I grow them mainly to feed my oscars/cichlids. Ultimately it depends on what you are keeping the guppies for.

If you dont have them yet but plan on buying them soon I would get as big a tank as possible cause if you get males and females the 20 you start with will turn into 100 in no time. Also read up on cycling the tank first, you will have less deaths at the begining.

10 gal as baby's and 25 gal when there grow up, you shouldn't have saved that many, you can stick 10 baby guppies back in with there mother, to eat them (after a month or two, it will be too late for them to get eaten).

I know how it feels, I have had guppies for four years now, eventually you run out of room, it's fact of life.

it depends on how u plan on keeping them in there

if u want them to grow up in the tank{till they r full grown}if so u should only have at the most of 10 fish in a 15 or 10 gallon

but if u r just keeping them in there till they can go with the adults {half size of adults } then u can have them all in a 15 gallon or a 10 but perfer a 15

you only nedd 20-40 gallon tank although it would be a little cramed if u do 20 so id say abot30!!! good luck!

20-30/40 b/c they will grow and sometimes they r very predatorial
