In the Picture section, select "Use My Yahoo Avatar"
It may take up to a couple of days for your new avatar to even appear as an option on your Answers profile page. If that's the case, then just hang in there, it should show up eventually.

just edit ur profile on yahoo answers and select avatar in pictute options

Click on your screen name, the one you have now, then click on edit my info, and you'll see the box you can check to use your avatar, hope this helps

go on your profile and click edit my info and contained in the image area choose "use my yahoo avatar",then click preview then click ok and it would take place. wish i helped,solid success :)

Go to home, click my Q & A go to edit my profile and change it.
