Haha, I do agree, I'm tired of the geico commercials, too.

But I think we would have some conflicts with them, and quite possibly become enemies. The Homo neanderthalensis and the homo sapien sapiens would probably come into conflict with each other, as just about all humans do. But, eventually, the Neanderthals would more than likely become extinct if we were enemies, because of the fact that we are more advanced. But then again, we might feel sorry for them and make them an endangered species, too. You never know what humans will do in this day and age.

Nope.

Humans and Neanderthals lived alongside one another for around 60, 000 years quite happily. There is absoioutely no evidence that they were ever enemies or ever fought.

If our species never came into conflict for 80, 000 years there is no reason to assume they were ever going to start.
