Today I read that grown men and women are scrambling to publish pictures of the new pitt/jolie baby shiloh...and will pay up to 7 million dollars for that honour....meanwhile there are kids starving the world over...and now a plot by muslim extremists on canadian soil...am I the only one who gets the irony here ????? Arn't there just more important things going on in the world than paying several millions of dollars for that "first Picture" of baby Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.?? And truly can journalists feel proud of themselves of a job well done , by fighting over who's gonna get the exclusive picture? it all seems so very odd to me .

It only seems mad to the naive. Does a universal precedent exist that makes every individual obligated to help every other individual? To you and I, yes. But the rest of these goons are busy getting there's, which isn't justified, necessarily, but I do have a hard time wrecking it while I'm simultaneously able to appreciate free will and choice.

It sucks for us to have to respect free will, and and at the same time to want to direct everyone's free will toward causes far more virtuous and benevolent than making cash off of celebrities' kids.

It sucks to be us, but isn't it extraordinary?

First of all you gotta look at the big picture. The most beautiful woman is having a baby by the most handsome man. Those two happen to make great movies, and really care about the children who don't have the opportunities and necessities that MOST children have here in America. Besides since MOST people are interested in seeing what Baby Shiloh looks like; why not make the most of it and give the money to Children Charities? No one is forcing people to buy the magazines, or look at television, or look at the pictures. It's a matter of CHOICE. I am a fan of Angelina and I'm glad that God is using her to get the message across.

It seems perfectly normal to me. The price of the picture is governed by the law of supply and demand. More people wants to see it, the more it's worth. Collective interest increase the value.

Paying $4 for a magazine is not the focus of life for anyone either. It is just a very small part of someone's entertainment spending. However, it is very smart of the Jolie-Pitt couple to re-direct that collective interest to good cost. It directs that dollar spent for entertainment into charity. Why isn't that a good thing?

I'm not crazy. I am totally sane. I know this because the potted palm in the doctor's office told me so.

Just because I have a dozen screaming voices in my head doesn't necessarily mean I am crazy!

As for Brajelina and the baby...the whole thing is crap. They should be roasted alive for such awful ideas!

I see the irony in most things. This whole existence is ironic. Come on, look around at life. There is no way this reality happened by accident or without control. God exists, and he has one sarcastic and ironic sense of humour!

I agree, someone despatched me a link about this the day previous. What a cheek to have 14 childrens and then anticipate the state to pay for them. apparently she aspires to emulate Angelina Jolie - the in straightforward words distinction being that Angelina is a magnate who can arise with the money for any such huge quantity of little ones!

It is a little strange to some. But think it not strange that the rich are leetingthe proceeds go to the poor. The money is going to charity. Let the buyers think they really needed to make that kind of purchase. The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous.

The mad are those who would actually pay money for such a thing! Supposedly, they are donating all the proceeds to a charity, but it would be a lot more efficient to donate directly (also, some of those buying might disagree with the charities involved).

There's an old saying "supply and demand"as long as someone will buy it someone will sell it.I won't but others will.I think I'll grab my camera and take some important pictures like of myparents or my grandson and his new red bike no wait ,I really need one of that big yellow rose out front,I swear it's 6 inches across.I'll supply and my family will demand.

i think the world IS messed up. i mean, between the war in iraq, starvation in africa, earthquake in Jakarta, aids and hiv victims, and paparazzi, 7 million dollars, and a photo of brangelina's baby, i think even the aliens on mars are happy where they are...
