If that is true then I have to blame myself for my daughter dying of a cocaine overdose and I do look back and see how I could have been a better parent.I think it is some genetics and some environmental. We do feel quilt when our children have problems but I guess none of us are perfect.

no, you can not blame the parents. Parents should not feel guilty if their teenager is anorexic. I blame actresses, models, video games, and music videos that portray an image of a woman's body and they are too skinny and girls now a days want to be like that so they starve themselves. They will eventually look like Nicole Richie who will break in half if you touch her. Teenagers just need to work on other things rather then comparing themselves to other women who have eating disorders.

You can if you want, but i'm not sure the blaming activity will help solve the problem. the blame game is not too helpful in getting a recovery. The whole family is involved but i wouldn't use the term guilty because there are probably no crimes. if there are crimes like abuse then maybe the parents are guilty in another way. hmmm.

If one of the reasons for the anorexia is the fact that the parents were not paying attention to the child, then yes. If the parents noticed a problem and tried to act on it, then no.

Sometimes they could be a part of it, but it is not always their fault and it never solely is.
