It's really not all that difficult. Just determine what type of connector cable you have, probably IDE, buy a good DVD-+/RW drive, take out the old drive (probably a CD drive), using the same mounting screws, install the new one and hook up the power and IDE cables, reboot, and Windows should find the new drive and install the drivers. After that you're good to go.
