Mr. Wang bought 5 cans of oil at $1.45 per can. which expression would you use to best estimate how much he paid for the oil?

It's D because $1.45 is very close to one-and-a-half.
So you could estimate by using $1.50 which is one and a half.
times the 5 cans of oil. You will be off by only a quarter by doing this.

.45 ~ .5 therefore 5 * 1.5 or 1 1/2
