i beleive Jesus will have his second coming and the world will enveloped in flames. the end. its not all that bad because in the bible it says we will all live in heaven in new perfect bodies and in paradise.
but scientificly, the earth will lose its outer protection and the sun will scorch the earth, so the bible is right
and if that doent happen, the we will destroy the earth by cutting down the trees, cutting off oxygen for us people
and there is also global warming
i think whatever starts, end...

Yep, it surely will. Here's why:

1) The sun is a ball of gas. One day it will have burned all it's fuel and die out. Then it will get darn cold all over the Earth. All the waters will likely freeze, never mind that the plants will no longer grow. Without water, plants and warmth animals will die off too, including humans. Eventually the earth will die as well. It will become another rock in space, but one that has water (frozen as it may).

or

2) All the planets are known to be closing in on the sun. Some day they are going to get too close and burn. One day the Earth will also get too close to the sun. As time goes on the Earth will get closer and closer. Eventually it will get close enough that ice caps will melt, waters will rise, lands will flood, plants and animals will die. Maybe as the Earth gets closer still to the sun the waters will evaporate 'till there's no water left on Earth. Then whatever hasn't burned yet, will.

But, which will happen first? Will the sun die out or will the Earth get too close to the sun? Either way, it still spells the end for the Earth.

Many people here sound confused on this one. I hope this will make sense to you.

When the Lord comes again, the earth will be cleansed with fire. That is, just as the Great Flood cleansed the earth in the days of Noah, the earth will be cleansed with fire and purified. For God is holy and no unclean thing can abide His presence.

The earth will be made ready, or prepared to receive her King. The prophets have foretold many calamities and disasters to befall the world as signs of the last days, and one surely cannot see the nightly news and not see this happening today, and we're certainly not done!

Those who are truly prepared, and watchful, will remain after the "Flood of Fire." Then the angel shall sound his trump and the great glory of the Son of Man will descend out of heaven as on a cloud of fire, and then the Lord will reign on earth for 1000 years. Every man, woman, and child will be able to witness this, it cannot be hid from the world. Great throngs of heavenly angels will attend His coming.

At the beginning of this new Millenium, Satan and his unholy angels will be bound, in that they cannot tempt men and disrupt the purposes of God. This will be a thousand years of peace and righteousness, and no unclean, or unholy, or unrighteous person can abide in these days. Think of this as the Lord's Sabbath. For in six millennia we were given the opportunity to labor and to prepare for His coming. But in the Seventh Millennium, there can be only the Lord's labor performed. The Lamb and the Lion will lie down together without any strife. During this time, the tombs of the righteous will be opened, and the saints and just and noble will rise from the dead. We are also told that all those who "die" during the Millennium will not taste the pains of death, but will be changed in that instant to a resurrected person. Families who have lost children may reunite with them in the Millennium.

After the thousand years, there will be a little season wherein Satan will be loosened and allowed to tempt the will of men one last time. This will be necessary to prove the worthiness of men, and see where their hearts truly lie. Then the end shall come.

The graves of the unjust and wicked will be opened at this final time, yes, they too will be resurrected, but last. They will be given their judgements, but that is a whole different topic. The earth will "pass away," or die, and be consumed with fire. No one will be on earth when that happens. God is not going to leave his people on the earth when it dies. He is wiser than all the scientists that have and will ever live! All the high mountains shall be made low, and the valleys shall be raised up, so that all places will be equal. All the continents and islands of the sea will be ONE and no longer divided, either geographically, politically, or by other human divisions. The rough places will be made smooth, and the earth will become as a crystal, wherein all her secrets will become revealed and nothing shall be hid from us. And when the work of God is completed, the Son of Man will declare unto His Father that "It is finished!"

Scientists don't like to hear this, but I really believe this, the earth will be removed from this solar system, from which she is only a visitor, and return to the presence and glory of God. That's where she was made, and that's where she will return. And all of us are going with her! We with the earth will live in the eternal heavens FOREVER! There is no end to this universe!

Yes, when our sun goes SuperNova then it can end rapidly. However, it depends what you mean by "end".. Can human beings die in one day... Yes, possibly. A catastrophic and simultaneous meteor showers can devastate the earth and most, if not all, humans can perish in a day, but the insects and other living organisms can still survive.

Yes, because everything that has a start has a finish. I don't want to think about the Earth ending though because that's a SCARY thought!

It depends on what you think about the Earth ending one simple day when you,re not expecting it. It depends on the inviroment and the population and popularity of the planet.

Jesus will come down from Heaven and take us up with Him. No one knows when it will happen. The early Mayan Indians tried to predict it, but they are not right. No one truly knows when the world will end..

Absolutely Joel, from a purely scientific point of view, sooner or later our sun will blow up. Engulfing this planet in fire, but that won't happen for quite some time.
