The best place is Ace hardware, Lowes, Menards, or other rental places. Call around to see who has the best price. Some places charge a deposit, who is usually the highest. Watch out for fuel charge, cleaning charge, and the condition of the equipment. If equipment is in rough shape, you don't want to rent it...

Check the yellow pages under tool rental. Home Depot & Lowes sometimes have tool rentals.

Have you tried Lowe's or Home Depot? They both rent tools.
