he might be shy so i suggest just play with his hand and see what he does, if he still doesn't hold it you make the move and hold his hand. go and give him a hug and then give him a little kiss. he probably thinks that you might not want to.
Good luck

Lol, you should be patient for now and wait for him to decide. Maybe one day you shoud just tell him you love him out your arms around him and see what he does. Im in 8th grade and im a guy, just to tell you, guys arent good at making moves, i was always to scared of what my girlfriend would think i made a move on her. Its usually a lot easier if the girls makes a move. But before you start kissing guys think about what your doing, your only 12 or 13 so you should know your to young to be in a serious relationship. You might really hurt other guys feelings if you start kissing him. Personally i think you should wait till your older, highschool would be good.

7th grade huh?. I estimate your about 12 years old. What on earth do you possible know about real love? Don't you know what your experiencing is called "puppy love"? He's going through it too. By the time your 14,you'll be "worn out",and don't tell me you don't want to have sex, because you probably lost your virginity last year!. It's going to be hard to find a husband, because you'll be so "broken in",that he'll "fall in",when it's his turn. Stop talking about love, and start concentrating on your studies. You'll have plenty of time for sex, movies, drugs, and whatever your little heart desires, once you've become a woman.

If your in seventh grade it probably ain't love. Sorry, but it's the truth. Around that age if the boy ain't making moves he' s probably shy or not ready yet. If you seem to eager and he goes for it what are you going to do when he pushes sex. He'll say you started it. Good Luck

It may be that he is not ready considering * I assume he is in 7th as well* his age or perhaps its that he respects you and doesn't want to offend you in anyway, guys sometimes need you to make the first move... don't be too subtle but if you want something done do it yourself like if you guys are walking together be the first to grab his hand...

~First of all, how long have you been dating this young man?
~This has alot to do with it!
~If it has only been a couple of weeks, you are getting to impatient! Slow down!
~Don't rush things or you are heading towards failure in this relationship!
~Now, traditionally it is the man who has to do the first move and the young lady needs to keep her decency.
~My advice is keep it the traditional way in order for your boyfriend to gain trust in you and acknowledge you as a descent young lady.
~Don't dispare; if it was meant to be it will happen.
~But no sex till you get married~ respect yourself and respect the man who will be your future husband.
~Like won't you like to marry a man who does cherish "making love" as sacred and only dedicates this for the one he loves.
~Or would you like a man who has been a "gigolo" who thinks as it where "a dime a dozen" and has had sex, including
"unprotected" sex with just about everyone? ~Just think how many sexual diseases he might have and these diseases can spread to you!
~So, keep your virginity sacred for the man of your life who will be your husband. Out of respect for yourself and your future husband.
~Now going back to your current relationship; try going like to an amuzement park, where he will have to touch you when you go on the rides, that might break the ice.

Honey, you only think that you know what you are doing, that is the nature of the human existence...and at your age, you just don't have the life-experiance to comprehend what your flesh is focusing your desire upon, and that is making babies!!! Hidden behind the desires to show-up your so-called friends, your mother and every other female you may have knowledge of is an illiteracy about the human existence, for millions of years, as compared to your teeny, tiny flailing about in the negativity of your formative years...Please,Please,Please, don't limit your potentially superior old-age, by egoistically attempting to dominate your social emvironment now, in any other way that to educate your comprehension of existance above theirs, and then of course to make many attempts to lift their desire up, as time goes by...everybody; will love you,and then you can write yor own ticket to ride...Peace,Love,& +Comprehension...MeSighAh...can you???

It seems you know what you are doing, just a kiss and holding hands is fine.
Boys your age, and I know, I'm not saying you are too young, but boys, of that age, are often a bit bashful with public affections, that girls enjoy.
Try it when you are both alone, and be easy with him, just a nice chaste kiss, no tongue. yet.
