hee hee, I had to have an army of pillows, and to be honest, nothing helped, BUT I did find that when I slept on an airmattress I did a LOT better (you can buy one for under $20 at walmart) the truth about being pregnant is it's uncomfortable no matter what, and the closer you get to d-day the worse it gets, you and baby are fighting for the same space, and baby seems to win everytime! The good news is it only lasts as long as you're pregnant, when the baby's out you have a whole new list of things that keep you awake at night (like a screaming baby). MY ob/gyn suggested I take a couple benedryl to help me get to sleep (I have had insomnia on and off, mostly on since as far back as I can remember as a child), I found it helped me relax too. But in the end I had an airmattress and a mountain of pillows (my husband laughed at me as I claimed every pillow in the house save one for him and one for our daughter during my last pregnancy), and I STILL was uncomfortable. The doctors say the best sleeping position is on your side (I found it a bit easier if I could lay almost sitting up, elavated) with a pillow in between my legs one at my back (to keep me from rolling over to my back) and one at my front to "cuddle" with since I could no longer reach or cuddle with my husband, and I think about three or four under my head! Try taking a warm bath to help ease the muscle aches from the day right before you go to bed, and use a hot water bottle on the sore spots (most heating pads warn you against using them if you are pregnant). Anyway good luck, get some sleep before your every two hour alarm clock shows up!!!

Well, I can't say that I ever got "comfy" when I was 35 weeks pregnant! The most comfortable I could get was with my body pillow. I would lay on my left side with my left arm under the pillow, right arm on top, kind of hugging the pillow, and then put the pillow between my legs which allowed my tummy to rest on the pillow. My last couple weeks, I couldn't find any position that helped get rid of the hip pain. Good luck, hang in there, you're almost done! :)

Definetley on your side. After 35 weeks,do not lay on your back. You probably won't want to anyway because it hurts, but aside from that it can cause high blood pressure and encourage baby to move into a posterior position (which could call for a long and painful back labor later on - trust me you do not want that!)
I found it easiest to lay on my side with a thin pillow underneath my belly, kind of holding it up? And then another one in between my legs since I found things feeling uncomfortable 'down there' for the last while too.

Try getting a body pillow. Thats what i did. I would lay on my left side and put the pillow between my legs and under my hip. It seems weird but was the most comfortable thing in the world for me. You can get them at walmart for 10 dollars.

Take a warm relaxing bath, a couple of tylenol (can't hurt the baby at this stage of your pregnancy) and either try the recliner or loads of pillows in the bed in the most uncomfortable areas. Soon be over. Different pains to feel will soon be here for you. Good luck for your labor and safe deliver of your precious babe.

Definatly on your left hand side with a pillow between your legs and depending on the angle under the side of your belly too. I know its not very comfortable but try and njoy the last stages of being pregnant because believe me in time you will miss it!

98% OF MY LADIES COMPLAIN OF PAIN AND INSOMNIA
The pain is due to your ligaments softening and simply put not much will change it.
Try sleeping in a recliner chair for short periods use a pillow to support your abs and hips like a long sausage or triangle shape.
Good luck

I was pretty much never comfortable. I would lay on my side with a pillow between my legs and that was the most comfortable for me. Don't worry it will be over soon.
