Bought these at a friend's second hand store, and other than the bad odor, they are great.

Try washing them in Chlorox Bleach then rinse them with fresh water. Then smear grape jelly all over them and let them sit for about four hours and rinse with plain clean cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. You will have grape smelling grapes again.

Soak them in a mild bleach / water solution, not too much bleach to lighten the color, but enough to kill the germs/bacteria/fungus that's causing the odor.
