Well, first off, this stuff only works for about a half an hour, then you need to reapply. If this works for you alright. Now if it doesn't they got even stronger SPF for you ranging from 60 to 150, I'm not sure what brands other than Skin so Soft that cover that SPF. Good luck, and wear plenty of light clothing.

Same problem......I am blonde hair, blue eyed, and Fry to a crisp when in the sun. This is what I have found

1. There is an SPF of 60 in Banana Boat (Water Proof), if you can't find that they make an SPF of 50 (Also waterproof). I believe Panama Jack makes an SPF of 75 (found on their website at
www.panamajack.com ). These two brands work the best for me.

2. Apply HOURLY! That is correct HOURLY. I don't care how waterproof it is, being fair complected waterproof means zilch. That is the only way I don't burn is applying hourly. If need be, being near, on, or in the water, EVERY HALF HOUR (I do this to keep from burning as well).

3. Cover Up. I wear a white t-shirt when I am swimming (since most pools don't want you to swim in a colored shirt for some odd reason), and immediately change to a colored or darker shirt when I get out of the water.

4. Wear a hat to protect the top of your head, ears, face, etc.

If it is not to unbearably hot.....I am in jeans and a t-shirt. Farmer Tans are my style, and though people look at me strange in 85 degree weather, oh well. I have blistered twice (early teens) and have had sun poisoning twice (early 20's). After being told that my risk for skin cancer has tripled, I hide from the sun under clothing and sunscreen. Pastie white is my color, and that is what it is going to stay.

I hope this helps.

From One Blonde to another, Good Luck and remain burn free.

Even if you use "waterproof", it will still wash some off. Keep reaplying every hour at least. ecspecially if you are in salt water or towel off. You are always going to burn a little if you are in the sun for a long time. I have naturally tan skin and I still burn through sun block. Also, try to take a break from the sun every now and then. Get under an umbrella or something and run cool/cold water over your body. Same principle as putting ice on a burnt hand, it stops the cooking process. Have fun.

sweetheart, sunblock won't work if you went into the pool at around 10 am - 5 pm. that's the WORSE time to be in a pool or anywhere you wanna go swimming. the next time you go swimming, choose among early in the morning, dusk, and evening. try rubbing some fresh mushed up strawberries on your stinging skin. it'll work.

sunblocks do work. it lessens the UV rays that might cause heavier damage on your skin and it also prevents premature aging of the skin. don't forget to put sunblock always. there are sunblocks that don't stink. i myself use the one with titanium dioxide.

just remember, don't expose yourself to too much sun within 10 am - 5 pm.

if you want to get your fair complexion back, stay indoors for a while. it works =)

Hats, sunblock, wear clothing, cover up in the sun or you'll get skin cancer for sure. Have you had your skin looked at by a Dr? You maybe allergic to the sun now too or burned so much you just go red right away. Wear clothing made for sun protection, sunblock under the clothing and the hat.

Cover Up your face with a hat and try the highest SPF in Bullfrog. It's the best one out there.

After you get a burn (seriously) use APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, it will take the "burn" out of the sun burn.
