Naturally, no as there are differences in chromosome number, DNA content and the egg is surrounded by a species-specific sheel (Zona pellucida) that only binds the correct sperm.
Theoretically though it may be possible for a male human to have sex with a female chimpanzee and produce a pure chimpanzee child. Experiments with mice and rats show that it is posssible to inject immature rat sperm into mouse testicles, where they colonise and after a few weeks the mouse produces rat sperm that can fertilise a female rat.
No-one knows how closely related the 2 species must be for it to work, so for all we know it could be possible for a human male to act as a vessel for the chimpanzee sperm to be passed on.
Though it would be a sick person to actually do it.

No, they cannot have children.
A chimp's sperm cannot fertilize a human ovum, or the other way around.
We can only breed if we're mating the same species. It's like a lock and a key. A lock can only be opened if you have the right key. Scientists are reverse engineering the fertilization process (cloning, artificial insemenation. etc), this is picking the lock. But while picking the lock, they're mimicking the key. So in a way, its still breeding within the species.
The gene has so much information in it that we barely scratch the surface of the magnitude of information contained in it. Everything from our skin color to our immune system are all catalogued as codes is four letters in our DNA. If ever something happens to this code, life may not start (like if something bad happen to the window file of your computer, the computer will not boot)
The DNA of a chimp is way different from the DNA of a human being. To boot a life by combining the two would be like, dividing the windows operating system file and combining it with half of linux operating system file, and then letting your computer boot from that combination. What shall we expect out of that? A piece of hardware garbage. So the result of sex of chimp and human is a slime of useless protein.

DNA even if 97% similar has crucial differences that mean no offspring would result from any such mating.
Scientists say a rough draft of the chimpanzee genome shows that Darwin was right when he said that African great apes and humans share common ancestors. The genome also shows key areas where humans and chimps differ.

Supposedly it has been done by means of artificial insemination. The creation is called Humanzee, but no body knows for sure if it REALLY has been done.
Theoretically it is NOT possible because of the number of chromosomes of each species is different, thereby making it impossible (or so the rule goes).
Horses and Donkeys are closely related but not exact, and yet they do cross breed to make Mules. I really don't know for sure.

It would have to be a pretty damned sexy Chimp to persuade someone to do it. Maybe like Helena Bonham Carter in that remake of Planet of the Apes. Probably impossible though. It would be cool to have a tail - oh, chimps don't have tails - never mind!

I have no idea, but as we both have and share 97% of the same DNA it may be possible.
Horses and Donkeys can mate and produce an offspring, a Mule, but the Mule is sterile and can't reproduce. Interesting question.

no...chimpanzee chromosome number is 48 while human's is 46
actualy they r far apart and in different branches....so they cant produce living babies.

Depends on the whether the chimp's relatives want a human in their family.
