Alright, I am so crushing on this gay guy. We became friends at work and he told me he has always been gay. Yet he flirts with girls all the time and I don't see him talk to dudes at work but he told me over the phone he is 100% gay. To me that doesn't make any sense cuz if your gay why would you flirt with girls?? And it just stinks cuz he's soo cute and his personality is toally awesome and I know there ain't nothing I can do about it. But my question is, how does this happen? Are you born with this dispostion?? I don't understand how a guy can be attracted to another guy and the same for girls. I am straight but to me that's normal and don't get me wrong I don't have anything against gays whatsoever I just don't unfderstand how they are that way. Thanks for shedding light on it.

Also he told me he had done 3 girls before and he always jokes about doing the "wild thing" with me so it made me confused and when we talked on the phone he said he felt like he had to do girls cuz it was the "right" thing to do. Im guessing he didn't wanna be labled gay so he thought if he messed with girls nobody would seceretly know. I mean I can see where that would make sense but he tells girls he is gay!

Yeah I just found out from a friend... tjhat he says hes gay, yet he still sleeps with girls but only does them in the booty * gross* and like I said he is always making jokes or seems like he is hinting at the fact that we should mess around * NO THANKS* God knows how many STDS he could have or HIV since he says he likes being a whore! Ugh. Not right for me. How can you be gay yet still mess around with girls, if your gay you don't do s*t with girls!! Doesn't make any sense and I agree I think maybe he is confused or just has a very strong sexual attraction to men!! I dk.

No this guy is REALLY GAY....he has showed me his gay porn collection and always talks about doing boys, and telling me which boy he finds cute, and told me he cheats on his bf..so for the last commentor I don't think he's lieing to spear my feelings!!

Sorry girl, but my gay boys LOVE to flirt w/women. It doesn't confuse me or make me question their sexuality, its just who they are but they will always love men. So he may flirt w/you, but its just for fun.

It is possible to only be attracted to men, but still enjoy flirting with women. It's a good way to get attention, especially if they are flirting with you. Since you said he is cute, he is probably just doing this as a way to pass the time, as a fun "hobby", or as a way to get people at work to like him.
On the other hand, it is possible that he is confused or bi. If he has slept with girls, maybe he is just not sure if he is attracted to women or not. Maybe at this point in his life it is easier for him to be gay or at least say he is. He might be bisexual, but afraid to tell people. In some situations, it is harder to come out of the closet if you are bi and some people choose to live a gay lifestyle even thought they are bi, for this reason. Whatever the reason is, I would suggest not getting too attached to him as more than a friend. Perhaps things could progress down the line if he is, in fact, confused or bi, but right now it doesn't seem like he is going to be into you like that and you don't want to get hurt.

First of all...I think most Gay men flirt with Girls all the time. I know I do. Its kinda fun and a little cruel. I think this guy doesn't talk to other "Dudes" cuz he doesn't want to get into trouble at the work place. Or maybe he is lying to you and is straight. He just doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying he's not into you.

The next time he joke bout doing the wild thing with you, give him a very serious look and say come on then and stop playing, tell him lets g right now and show you what you working with and see what kind of comment he have after that.

Flirting is flirting tho, it doesn't necessarily mean anything like that. As a lesbian.....soooo many women flirt with me. Married straight women that do not really want to go to bed with me, atleast not all of em :P. Flirting is flirting it;s fun. It's also very hard for a guy to flirt openly with other guys... some ppl are not out of the closet. Plus other ppl can get really freaked out by that. It's prolly just alot safer to flirt with girls than it is to flirt with guys.

I used to think I had it figured out about gays/straights/bis - not anymore, I'm confused too!...because my friend turned a gay guy straight and they are getting married soon. ?? I also have a gay friend who says he was born that way. He likes guys, but he has a lot of girls as friends because we are the ones he feels comfortable chatting with about the everyday stuff, fashion, movies, art, etc. Maybe that guy you're talking about flirts with girls because they are not a threat to him, he doesn't have to worry about getting hurt because he's not really attracted to them deep down. I don't know either, I'm just babbling.

I flirt with girls all the time. Though I have only slept with one girl in my life I am gay. Also, even though he "whores" around does not mean he has stds. There is a thing called safe sex. If he is a friend, you might want to look into not making him look sorta bad. Just a thought.

stay away from this dude do not let him have his way with your a** you would be so at risk for STD's it is not even funny. The quickest way to spread an STD is through anal sex regardless of if it is man to man or man to woman. There is a 500% increase in the incedence of the spread of STDs in this manner over any other sexual expression.

He's a predator...he's sexy & knows it, uses it and abuses it. I've been through some of that and it's a ploy to get girls, sometimes, to tell em you're gay...some girls immediately feel all safe, some girls feel all nurse healer and wanna "save" the gay (he never met a real woman) etc.

I am a lesbian and have more male friends then women. I flirt with men, but am NOT straight. I don't think he is attracted to a girl in that way. I am not attracted to men in the sexual way at all. But, I do find them attractive. Maybe this is how he see's it.
