creating perspective, specifically grids for perspective. Proportioning, using fractions and comparisons, say a person as being so many heads tall.
Suerat used math to determine his pointillism style so many dots to create colour, and to create an image.

geometry itself is a form of math
certain numbers have special meanings and can be used in art. (like odd numbers of a color or an object draw more interest in a painting)

I use it to duplicate and rotate in my corel draw program to get exact symmetry in my mandalas.
