They may have an easy conference, but they have a good record in bowl games as well. Can't argue with winning.

Kentucky!? When was the last time the cats had a respectable football season? As for USC no matter what conferance they are in they still have a good football team. In the SEC they might have trouble with the likes of Flordia, LSU, Georgia, and Auburn. It sounds like USC is in a reloading season not a rebuilding one. One thing though they better be ready to go to Arkansas this year because we not only have an improved team, but a ****** off team from last years 70-17 loss. I feel an upset already! GO HOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You exaggerate my friend. However, you do have a point. I think that cracks are beginning to show in USC's foundation. Part of the problem is that the PAC-10 just isn't of the same caliber as the Big Ten, the SEC, or the ACC. Therefore, USC can steamroll mediocre teams and look good while doing it, then having horses to spare as they take on tougher non-conference opponents. They blew out Arkansas last year, but Arkansas was terrible.
That being said, I think Pete Carroll is a great coach. I just wish he could prove it in a conference where the competition is more rigorous from top to bottom.

USC would beat Kentucky by at least 30 points. They would be a definite strong contender for the conference championship in the SEC, Big 12 or Big Ten...and this is coming from a Texas fan.

USC has been overrated for this entire recent run of success. They were a very good team, but like you said the PAC-10 blows.
They only won 1 NCAA championship, although several people give them credit for winning a 2nd the year that LSU beat Oklahoma for the BCS title in the Sugar Bowl.
They wouldn't have gone undefeated in the Big 10, Big 12, ACC, or SEC in any of the last several years.

Kentucky beating USC... You have to be kidding me. USC beat Arkansas last year 70-17 !!! The Trojans might have the best up and coming talent that you have never heard of. They have consistently been in the top 3 in recruiting sine 2002. They lost a great deal of talent, but they have been preparing for this. They may have been praised alittle to much, but they had a great squad last year and you way never see a team like they had for a while.

first let me say that i am a UT fan (the real UT hook 'em baby) and i think that USC and Notre Dame will ALWAYS be overrated because of all the talent they have and the results that they produce. they should win every year with the kind of recruits they get. yes they are in a weak conference which makes them a contender for the national championship every year. i agree that they would not win the big 12 OR the SEC.

Last year they ran out of gas...the defense was not dominant like the prior year and Leinhart had proven he had no interest in working hard when he came back in the first place and didn't take his $50MM+ contract as the 2005 first pick!
They have no experienced RB's returning and the QB situation is a mess with injuries and legal problems. They will get WAXED in the Rose Bowl again at the hands of Ohio State next year.
The Pac-10 wasn't soft, it just doesn't have the depth of the SEC. I am a fan of the real USC - the Fighting Chickens of South Carolina...GO 'COCKS!

I'm a Longhorns fan, and I don't think USC is overrated. If they'd had one more inch on that fourth down play, they would have won yet another national championship. They recruit very well, and are well coached.
Kentucky? Kentucky couldn't beat the all blind girl's kindergarten team.

I know they are overrated, what can you do though they win. Besides the old saying is any given Sunday, or Saturday. Anyway they should have lost to Notre Dame last year and ADMITTED afterward that they cheated. I saw Reggie Bush ADMIT he pushed Lienhart. I was soooo glad that Texas beat them, since they didn't even belong in the game. They should have lost and Penn State should have beat Michigan, that time shouldn't have been added to the clock the way it was. So the REAL National Title game should have been Penn State vs Texas.
