well...most of them died due to disease. After disease came hard labour, killing so many more. Many of what was left mixed with the spanish and the slaves they brought with them to replace the dead indians.
So, it's not entirely sure you can still talk about an incan people.
Anyway, the inca empire had several people in it, not all of them were inca.
You might want to start in Peru, and perhaps parts of Bolivia, Chili and Ecuador.
