I am happy because i know they can have a good life. Many parents would be upset and have a hard time accepting it, but after awhile most will get used to it and be fine. Staying in the closet is a bad option. It ruins your life in a different way. Talk to someone first before you tell your parents so you can plan it. i am a parent and i would be happy if my kid was gay because i can be a supportive parent. but that's just me, i'm unusual.

If I was illiterate and didn't know proper grammer(hint, hint), I'd probably be upset, but since I feel I am somewhat enlightened and open-minded, I think my only concern would be for that child's happiness and success in life. The "gay" thing would not even factor into my feelings.

I would not want that for my children. Not because I think homosexuality is horrible, but because of how some people would treat them. No parent wants to see their children suffer, or be ridiculed. It's hard enough in this world, without added pressures.
