I've always wondered that and want to know.

someone who is fighting or active. someone who is not real easy to subdue. animated.

if they are being sarcastic then it is probably an apathetic ,inactive person who just sits there and doesn't do anything.

i think it means u are being sassy/bold/smart..depending on how it is said and it what context. usually however, i think someone may say that to u after u give a reply to something really stupid or obvious.(and in that way it would be sarcastic) they are being sarcastic about what u have said or done

it means something like 'a lively one here'. As an example, if we relate it to fishing, a live one (as opposed to a dead one) would be thrashing around on the end of the fishing line, whereas a dead one would be still. I hope this makes sense
