Also, why does bread mold give odor? how many cells constitute a spirogyra organism? ho do you tell when spirogyra are conjugating? do the two filaments during conjugation spiral in the same direction?

Yeast and fungi are parasites i.e. they dont synthesize their food and has to thus depend upon other sourse. They get their energy from the substrate they growing.

mould or also called as fungi when grow on bread, it utilizes bread as its food, and grow, multiply and synthesize some enzymes which degrade bread and gives bad odour.

This was a trick! I wanted to tell you that yeast grows by eating the sugar you add to the mixture...but then you put in lots of harder questions, so now I've lost interest.
