Does any one know if in the show 'Roseanne' did 'Dan' die or was he alive for the hole show?? my sister and I were wondering.

Technically, Dan did die, but as for the main show, he didnt. In the very last episode, you see roseanne sitting in her basement telling the sotry, and it turns out that winning the lottery was fictional and the whole roseanne serise was just based on a novel written by roseanne. When darlene got married and dan had the haeart attack, he really DID die, but roseanne changed it all for the novel. Also jackie was really the lesbian and her mother wasnt. The last episode reveals all...

He died from the heart attack he suffered during Darlene and David's wedding.
The entire (awful) last season with the lottery was a figment of Roseanne's imagination....something she was writing for her book....as were many of the characters and their relationship.
I enjoyed that show but I thought it's ending was a bigger cop out than Bobby Ewing's death being a dream on Dallas.

He died from his heart attack, which Roseanne explains in the series finale while typing pages for her book. There were some other good surprises in that episode, you should do a search and find out. :D

He lived throughout the entire show, but during the last episode, Roseanne said he actually died of the heartattack.

He really ,by her book, died from the heart attack at Darlene's wedding,but in her fantasy world, she kept him alive. Jackie was really gay, but she made her mom gay in her book instead. The last episode of Roseanne was excellent. You shouls see it if you have the chance. Everything is explained.

~He was discovered to have royal blood, pulled off the show and sent to England, where he flopped as King Ralph.
But that was better than doing the Roseanne "hole" show.

the season finale showed rosanne writing a book and technically he died but she was writing her book and wrote that he lived. at the end she is writing and she says how he has been gone for a well over a yr and she misses him very much and there will not be a day that goes by that she doesn't think of him
