I am not necessarily talking of romantic love.... how open are you to express your emotions verbally?

Saying 'I Love You' is a way of showing how important is that individual in your life.

Feeling 'I Love You' is a reflection of one's own degree of affection for that individual.

Doing things that mean 'I Love You' is an act of slicing your ego to prove that you have a loving heart for that individual.

If somone asked me to choose one of these as 'Highly Important', I'd be at a loss, 'coz I prefer to choose all three and use them as a bunch to express my love for the individuals in my life whom I feel for.

When we say 'I Love You' to somone, he/she feels that you are important and feels relaxed with you. It may not necessarily have to be a proper 'I Love You' in English/ French/ German etc., but with the WAY you express it with conviction and clarity.

For a newborn who does not really understand 'I Love You' in a particular language, it's the expression of the mother that counts and how often does she cradle him/her and express her care and motherly affection to the baby. A mother's 'Love' is a stimulai for growth in the baby.

For a teenager it is the 'friend' in his/her parents who give them support, understanding and most importantly a 'friend' by listening to their insecurities and excitement of the many challanges in life they look forward to.

For a couple in love its the 'trust' and 'acceptance' that eventually binds them together in love. Yes, sex is also important here, but it cannot be compared to the many acts of 'love' they would express to keep them together.

For parents, 'love' is in sharing responsibilities of their parents and children and social obligations if any. The true test of 'love' between married partners comes when they have to come together to face the challenges of bringing up thier children and still maintain their own sanity levels.

For the elderly and done-with-the-duty kinds, its the togetherness they've really missed and craved for all those years they gave to their children, work, society etc. Now they are totally fagged out and seek comfort within each other. I believe that old couples know the true meaning of love and can be great examples for those who are the ready-to-fall-in-love kinds who need a reality check on the real 'love' they are probably seeking in desperation.

I dont believe in friends or the 'love' associated with them as friends are temporary in our lives. Maybe I've not found the 'best' friend yet. Maybe I dont need one.

But to answer your question, I'm in my mid 20's and I have SAID 'I Love You' several times as a teenager, FELT 'I Love You' for the one I liked sooo much in office. And now I've reached the platform where I bunch all these three together and SAY, FEEL, DO THINGS that mean 'I Love You'. It's a beautiful feeling. Specially when I see my reflection in his eyes. But frankly, now I SAY 'I Love You' whenever I feel a sea of emotions for him with no rhyme or reason...It just get's unstoppable at times you know.

However, I've not forgotten to mention that there is yet another 'Love' which is an integral part of our system. It is the love for GOD. A small prayer, a little meditation and doing your best in leading your life the way GOD's voice tells you in the form of your coincience is like saying 'I Love You' to GOD.

Hope this helps.
Thanks =)

With family: once in a while. I think that kind of love doesn't need to be expressed verbally. Most of the time, we already know it's there.

With romantic love, I used to be hesitant. I just think that if you say it too much, it'll lose its meaning.

With friends: jokingly or after they cheer me up.

I say I love You in every way possible...

language is just an expression you can only say so many ways...
some examples (my favorite ones)

French : Je t'aime
German : Ich liebe Dich
Italian : Ti amo
Spanish : Te amo

Some not so common ones....
"How you doing?"
"What's happening hot stuff?"
"Looking good...."

I say love in the way I act...
by talking the talk and walking the walk...
I am expressive with my face....
I like to smile and show I am happy....

I want people to know I am full of love...

i want to be able to give and to receive love in any way possible that is healthy...

I tell my girlfriend I love her as much as I can, because it's the way I truly feel inside, and I can't live without verbally expressing my feelings.

I learn this two times. The manner you layer longer tale-similar prose is admirable, and some thing I have a lot crisis with. You make it appear convenient, normal, however all people who write realize the reverse is right. I mainly degree the effectiveness of a work by way of the quantity of TD's........Jealousy rears it is inexperienced head. Kudos to you, Mr Carney.

I say I love you to people I really love. It could be every second, every minute, every hour of my life. I often do it because I wanted to tell them how important they are too me before it's too late. It could be through text, emails or personally. Because I believe that when you have the time to express your love and care for other people do it before it's too late because life is too short.

I say if often. But I really mean it when I say it. I have to share my love with those I do, because they need to feel it as much as I want to give it. That includes my cat.

i don usually says i love you coz it is very important to me if you says the word often then it dosnt soun real or with feelings anymore coz it just sound more like youre very practiced to say the word and that it has no meaning to you at all.. my opinion actually :)
