you can take that question 2 ways. Am I under control, like of myself, or am I under control of something or someone else.
I am under the control of the society around me. I am in control of myself whether I am consciously aware of it or not. My thoughts create my reality.

I am completely under control. I know who I want to be, and I set boundries and standards for myself. I keep myself under control. It's tough sometimes, but it's what I want.

I have to laugh at everyone who thinks their thoughts are somehow original, that their description of the cosmos IS the way it is.. that "control" and "agency" are available prima facie. Which is such an incoherent pack of lies, disseminated through LACK of critical thought. Go ahead examine free-will vs determinism. Buy a book, read what's been written.
