Which is better to prevent attacks/pop-ups, threats,viruses and spywares?

Well, that is a very loaded question. IE 7 is still in beta with beta 3 scheduled to be released this August. IE 7 is still in progress so it would be hard to compare it to Firefox; the lastest version is 1.5.0.4. My suggestion is to try both and decide for yourself. You don't have to install IE 7 to test it. A clever computer geek created a batch file so you can use IE 7 without installing it. Go to:

Internet Explorer 7 is a copy of Firefox (look at the shortcut, all use the same way as Firefox. This is happen to Opera too) And IE 7 need SP2.

my opinion is that the ie7 is the better of the two. it seems i was always having to download adapters to make anything run on firefox. speed was an issue with the explorer at first but i downloaded google web accelerator and now its as fast or not faster than firefox. there are all sorts of pop up blockers around, i usually have more of a problem with them blocking when im surfing.almost any toolbar you download now has pop up blockers and antispy ware attached to them anyway. i believe that microsoft will always come out on top. also try windows defender and windows live one care. i have disabled norton and am running only on this with no problems.

I think Firefox is better, although neither of them will really protect you from viruses or spyware. You need separate programs for this. You can help avoid it by not downloading strange files or clicking advertisements. Try using Ad-aware.

Opera is the faster internet browser in windows. Konqueror in Linux. Tested opera is faster than Firefox. Is time to say that opera is the only one number 1 in the acid 2 test. http://www.webstandards.org/

well with internet explorer 7 i never have any popups,i dont use firefox much but i know its faster than IE 7.

I haven't had good luck with Internet explorer and have heard no positive feedback re: 7, but I have heard a few good things about fire fox.
