Cause its the middle of the week. This was before everyone had their mind in the gutter all the time

Considering most people work 9-5, Wednesday is the middle of the week. This means on Wednesday you are halfway to the weekend and successfully "Over the Hump", Hence Hump day.

Saturday
Wednesday falls directly in the middle it is the hump of the week.
Some consider only the 5 day work week. Monday and Tuesday are the beginning or climb then Wednesday after that it is all downhill towards Friday!

lol okay I don't know if your being serious or not, but here goes.
Wednesday is halfway through the week, and if the week were a hill, then wednesday would be the top, or the hump. So saying it is hump day means you are on top of the hill, or halfway through the week. Sunday is the start, and saturday is the end.

Hump day is referring to getting over the hump(middle) of the week, Meaning your half way there to the weekend! It doesn"t have anything to do with getting laid, beginning, middle, or end of the week!!!

It's in the middle of the work week... you start climbin on monday slow and draggin by wednesday your over the hump and on your way down again going as fast as ya can to get to the weekend...

It has nothing to do with that. It just means that you have made it over the hump (the middle) of the work week and now you are on the downside rushing toward a beautiful, weekend.
