In Australia it was my birthday yesterday but in America it is my birthday today? Does that make sense. My b'day is 7th June.

There are many different time zones in the world, and since your birthday is on one day, in the time zone world, it could be tomorrow or the day after that or the day before that in many other countries. It makes a lot of sense to me. It is actually very simple to me.
