I don't know how to get guys to be friends with me or even ask me out. I'm not ugly or anything but i can be really really shy. How can i get more guy friends or get someone to ask me out without me having to do it? Thank you for your time.

Maybe you need to be more natural around them, but stiff or too quiet. But also you need to flirt a little. Not so much that you seem like you're being aggressive, but enough to let them know you're open to dating them.

Just try to not be afraid to get attention. Be confident in yourself, and don't be afraid to start a conversation with someone you don't know (yet).
The best way to get over being shy is just facing the problem. Trust me, I was homeschooled my whole life up till 6th grade, and when I started going to public school, I was terrified, and finally realized thats there is no reason to be shy of other people.
Now I have a lot of friends and love meeting new people.

I've gone through this before. I know what youre thinking...
"oh my gosh...he's going to say no" or "he's gonna think i'm completely retarded"
Dont worry about it.
What i do is try to find out what motivates them into conversations, and find out what they are interested in. Thats exactly what I did, and now every cool guy in my school is my friend!

Just be yourself. Have confidence in yourself. Selfconfidence is a quality that is respected and admired by most men. I mean, just be yourself. Don't try to pretend to be an estereotype.
