lay flat on your back, with your hands palm down at your side, put your legs together and lift them off the ground about 6 inches for as long as u can stand it. this helps to work the lower (harder to tone) abs.

Reverse crunches are good for lower abs, but hard to get used to at first. Anything that is going to really work is not going to be easy. You should always challenge your workout. I have a sit up bench that is adjustable, i can lie at an angle which makes it more challenging. Also I have seen people hang from a bar with their legs and do sit ups that way. Looks hard but effective though.

Try health magazines.
I think the exercises in Teen magazines are pretty easy.
