every time i turn of the gameboy the save game disappears, and i have to start all over again. but during the game i can save (i can access the menu and when i press save it's shows up).. it's just that it's not there when i open it again! Ack, what's happening and what can I do??

Sounds like the save battery is dead. You may have to get it replaced. Contact your nearest Nintendo office to find out details of where to get it replaced.
Why can't you replace it yourself? Because Nintendo have a special type of screw in the back of their games which can only be opened with a special tool. Uneless you have the tool you can't open it. (Well you can but you may damage it)
If you go to the Nintendo website (http:www.nintendo.com) there should be a link somewhere for your country/region.
