You can sue them. In most states workman's comp. is required. If they are really liable they will pay dearly--I would rather pay your bills than have an official find out I didn't have workman's comp.

you can file workman's comp paperwork once received by the state they will investigate & determine the company has no insurance and they will have to reinstate it and pay fines. contact a lawyer that specializes in workman's comp cases and go from there. you will have to go through several hearings and if they determine you are permanently disabled they will give a percentage rating based on that & determine the amount of the settlement you will receive , the company will also be responsible for your medicals bills even if you stop working for them as long as it's not a new injury. good luck

Contact a worker's comp attorney.
In some states the worker's comp system has a fund for paying workers whose employers did not have insurance.
In some states the worker has the option of either being paid fromm that fund or suing the employer in civil court. Of course, the employer may have dropped the insurance because it had no money.
Contact your local bar association and see if they have a referral service for worker's comp attorneys. If not see if there are referral services listed in the yellow pages. If not, look in the yellow pages under attorneys, sub-heading worker's comp.

states require that companies have workman's comp. if you remember when Michael Jackson had to let go all of his employees because he could not afford the insurance. Find a lawyer that works in Workman's Comp. specifically.

Sue them; they're not supposed to be operating without worker's compensation, unless you were hired to work for that company as a contractor. Some companies do the latter, so that they don't have to go to the headaches of withholding taxes, providing worker's compensation, and so forth.
