I think that anyone can do anything they put their mind to. Opportunity is often scarce, but people who really want it will make an opportunity or keep trying until another one is available. I don't see why a homeless person couldn't get a job and become famous. You don't need a home to become famous, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

Yes, there was an article about it not too long ago about a father with a son who was homeless. Also, I personally know someone who was homeless, but worked his way up in the world and now owns his own company, although it's a small one, but that's still cool, how many people do you know that own their own business? He is currently building his dream house on a lake which his happy family expects to move into by August!

just ask a rich famous person, they'll tell you "sure! anyone can do it!" never mind daddy paid their way through med school and made sure they mingled around the "haves" while climbing the ladder! anyone with any experience in making it in this country, who also happens to have a clear head about their own significance and power, knows that success hangs around success, period. sure there is famous amos, god bless him, and he has a wonderful story, but if you think this is anything but an economic/social anomaly, you are essentially living in a fairytale. if a homeless person is going to be famous, he/she is going to need to have an amazing talent for something AND get some sort of financial boost (i.e. sponsor) to launch them into the limelight long enough to get noticed. if CAN be done, but the chances of it being done are low.

Really depends on why they are homeless. There are some very strong willed people who go out on their own to pursue their dreams, and do whatever it takes, including living on the streets or at homeless shelters while out busting their behinds every day, trying to get a break. But there are also drunks and druggies and handicapped people who cannot or don't want to change, and will remain homeless their whole lives.

No. You have to get the job first. Then figure out what business you want to start. No one ever got truly rich working for someone else. That just makes the OTHER guy rich. Fame is a whole different thing.

OF course there are many stories of this for example, Rob Thomas from former band match box 20 was homeless at one time, J.D Fortune New lead singer from INXS also homeless once, Jewel also lived in her car for awhile and is now famous..I think almost anyone can pick themselves out of a gutter if they want it bad enough.

Yes!!!
"... story of how the 52-year-old Gardner did just that, climbed out of homelessness and became a millionaire stockbroker with his own 15-employee Chicago firm, is being turned into a motion picture, due out in December. It's also the subject of Gardner's own just-released book, "The Pursuit of Happyness." The different spelling of "happiness" is intentional."
