Guppies are so lively, swordtails are so colorful, discuses are calm and stately, neon's are pretty, cat fish are always in a search for something, angelfish are beautiful, danio's are always in a move, gourami's are nice... so all are cool!

I would have second African Cichlids a few months ago, but I just started getting into Oscars, which is part of the cichlid family, and they are great! They have the best personality and feeding time is such fun! If you feed them goldfish, they'll eat it and spit the scales out of their gills! Pretty cool.

I would have to say goldfish. There are so many different kinds out there and they have a great personality. They also can get huge and can live 20+ years if taken care of properly.

My favorite fish to raise are various species of the African Cichlid species. Stay away from Aratus- they get mean when they mature! When getting fish, PLEASE make sure you find out the fish's adult size. Whoever said knifefish, do you know that they get 2 FEET LONG as adults?
