Listen the kids in your class are stupid and uncultured swine! ok!
Old music is way better than any of the crap thats going on right now. We're living in a wak pop ruling world....its really sad how music has just totally gone bad. Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani going weirdo, ...rap isn't what it use to be...ROCK is really not what it use to be...Linkin Park? ....Please...no rock group could ever compare to Led Zeplin, The Who, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and sooo many others!

They are neither wrong nor right. Their opinions should matter very little when it comes to the music that you listen to, and what music they listen to. Sure, you can get advice from them, or they can get advice from you, but you are neither normal nor weird. If you enjoy listening to the Golden Oldies, then by all means, continue to do so. Don't let what other people think get to you. It isn't worth it.

well, since i don't like calling people stupid, i'm going to say no, they aren't stupid. but they aren't right either. you listen to what you want to. if people are getting on you about that, that's kind of sad. must be some really self-conscious and bored people around that school. hang in there. nothing wrong with you at all. IM or email if you want to talk. God bless ya!

They're not stupid, and neither are you. Music is all about opinion and personality...if they dont' like your music, that's too bad. All that matters is if you like it, ya know? I listen to older music for sentimental reasons, childhood memories of my parents singing them to me. Is that weird? Heck no. Plus, older music is usually cleaner and less sex-oriented.

You're not weird, you're pretty smart. You haven't limited your musical choices just to stuff that is current. It is nice to know that not all young people ignore the great songs from the past.

My daughter is 11 and her fave singer is ELVIS. She stays with my parents on weekends and thats the music they listen to so shes heavily into it. So dont worry about it. You like whatever you want to.

You're right, they are stupid. Just because they have no taste in music, doesn't mean that you can't. I applaud your choice. At least you're listening to MUSIC.
