A quief is very different from a fart in amny ways. A fart is something you can use your muscles to make it quieter or no come at all. A queif, you can neither make it quieter or not come out at all. A fart is something that can smell bad because it really is fecal molecules coming out. A quief is not smelly and is nothing more than air.
A quief is caused by air being forced into the vagina and then forced back out. This happens more frequently during sex, but can happen during certain exercises and other activites. Though it may be embarrassing, it really shouldn't be anymore embarrassing than a hiccup. You can't prevent hiccups, you can't quiet them, and you had nothing to do with getting them in the first place. That is basically what a quief is.
Putting your legs above your head increases the liklihood of quieffing, so if you are trying to prevent it, this may be your only way.
Does that help?

It's perfectly normal, especially during sexual activity. Have you ever noticed when exercising that when you put your feet above you, like when you do the bicycle, that it happens more? Just think of it as one more place that air can get trapped, and eventually your body just has to push it out. It happens to all of us :)
And pay no attention to any males who may try to pass on that terrible slang word for it that starts with a Q.

Have you recently had sex with a scuba diver, and is he now missing?
Seriously; speak with your Gyn, I doubt that it's anything serious. If you have pain or discharge then call the doc right away.

Just gas, and it gets more prevelant as you age. Consult your GYN if it becomes painful or otherwise disturbing. There are treatments.
