Be careful with pay services. There is no cell directory or cell number phone book. Sites offering "unlimited searches" or database access are usually trying to rip you off. I had really good luck with Cellulartrace.com.
I also saw a new blog site comparing different types of tracing service. It was ReverseLookupServices.blog-city.com

Yes--because if someone I love was badly injured and the police or hospital were trying to reach me I wouldn't recognize the number. Or my best friend's car could be broken down on the side of the road and they had to borrow a phone because they forgot to charge theirs, and I wouldn't recognize the number. Or the neighbor I hardly know could be calling to say someone's trying to break into my car, and I wouldn't recognize the number. Some of the most urgent calls you'll ever receive will come from unknown numbers!

Look in the cell phones phonebook and look for a home number or choose a number and call it. or call ur home number from the phone so you can get the persones name from the caller ID. Or just wait for someone to call because thats what most ppl do when they lose their phone

Cell phones are not listed. The only information you can find on them is to what company the number belongs to.

Try calling one of the numbers and ask them who owns the phone. The number you're calling from will show up and they should know who it is.

You could also go through the directory and see if there is a home listing.........such as "me" or "home" or anything of that nature.

My name is listed as "mom" in my directory........that way I'll never forget my own number.
