No, nighthawk is an idiot. I'm fairly certain historical records of climate would show an increase in global temperature - but then if you engage your brain for one second you'd realise thats because we'd already started to effect the environment by the time we started recording climate!
To be honest, the 10 year time window is bull. We're not really sure exactly what is going to happen or when. This isn't because scientists are idiots, its because the Earth is a complex system that has been operating for 4.5 billion years - we're still learning how it works.
What we do know is that the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has more than doubled since the industrial revolution, and that can be attributed to humans, not natural processes. I don't think we can reverse what we've done before we see more drastic effects (last years hurricane season was justa taster).
However, the world isn't going to flood overnight. The Earth is actually a very robust system...it will look after itself. Natural buffers in the system will give humanity time to study, learn and then mitigate the hazards of global warming.

another person duped by the scare tactics of the neo-communists aka environmentalists.
they got you right where they want you.
The Earth is always changing, nothing stays the same for long, but they want everyone to believe that its ALL our fault when in fact we have alot less to do with it then they will have you believe.
Volcanoes emit many times more volumes of greenhouse gases than humans ever have.. we cant cap all the volcanoes, now can we, and if we did, where would all the pressure go that is being released by volcanoes? It will just spew elsewhere.
We cant play God, and they are foolish to think we can.
We are along for the ride.. ya, it could get rough, but we aren't "Doomed" per se, Humans are as resilient as this planet is. We also are intelligent creatures that are very capable and very good at adapting to anything that could possibly come from this so called "Global Warming".
Anyone who studies Geology at all knows the Earth is constantly changing temperatures over time, and only a fool would believe this status quo we now are in will last indefinitely.
People need to grow up and think, instead of react... seriously.

Nope. Remember 20 years ago, back in the 1980's? What were the main concerns back then? Global cooling. Also, I've heard from people who are studying meteorology (sp) and they say that if you look at historical records of the climate on the Earth, you will notice a trend of cooling and warming in the Earth's temperature. Not to mention this little fact: you have read that we have 10 years to reverse the harm, but everyone out there is saying that we can't stop it, that it is irreversible. Scientists are idiots.

In the future???????? How about right now??!!??
We are already experiencing global warming, but not enough people seem to care. We just very well might be doomed if humanity does nothing about it. And where does humanity start? Why, with you and me of course.....we cannot leave it up to other people, we all have to join in....Noone can be apathetic here...

With all the greenhouse gasses we`re dumping into the atmosphere.... we will continue to get warmer. Warmer air means warmer water, and better severe weather probabilities (severe T-storms, tornadoes, EXT.), warmer water means more hurricanes.
Take care...
