Hi there. I'm the author of a new medieval fantasy book that you might like. It's a coming of age story about a young Scot and his Irish love interest, but it's also a terrific fantasy adventure. It has received excellent reviews in the national media and is being considered for a movie deal.
The title is THE BLACKGLOOM BOUNTY. It's 445 pages of action, adventure, magic, mystery and mayhem. If you like Conan style books and you're not afraid of a little blood being spilled, you'll like this book. If you're looking for a Harry Potter clone, this may not be for you. It's rated PG-13 by most libraries.
If you want to try it out, request my FREE, illustrated four chapter pdf eBook demo from FiveStarAuthor@aol.com. That way, you can see if you like the story without spending a dime. Fair enough?
Good luck, whatever you decide to read!

"The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux is a great book to read. It's an amazing work and it's considered one of the classics.
Even if you have seen the musical or are familiar with the plot of it, read the book anyway! The book is completely different from the show and the movie. The plot lines and the main plot are nothing alike. It's a work of its own.
It's combination of action adventure, mystery, drama, and some romance. It is amazing and a great read.
I highly recommend this book to anyone. I loved it and I hope you do too!

Well I guess it all depends on what you like...
Personally, I think any book by James Patterson would be a great summer read. They're entertaining and easy to follow. I stumbled upon Killing Floor by Lee Childs a little while ago and turned out to be pretty good.
The Color of Water by James McBride is an excellent book. A friend gave it to me a few years ago and I absolutely loved it.
And of course you can't go wrong with the classics.....To Kill A Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men, Catcher in the Rye, etc.
Good Luck and Enjoy!

Depending on category of reading......Ayn Rand's 'Atlas Shrugged'; James Allen's 'As A Man Thinketh' (or his collective works); 'The Best America Science Writing' Editor Alan Lightman; 'In the Moment' by Harvey L. Rich; 'Shut Up, Stop Whining & Get A Life' author Larry Winget; and 'The Artist's Way' by Julia Cameron.
All are non-fiction with the exception of Ayn Rand's 'Atlas Shrugged' - wow wonderful book!

It all depends on what you are interested in. If you like a little science fiction mixed with mystery, humor, and wit then I definatly suggest almost any book written by Dean Koontz. The Face is an awesome place to start if you like mystery and evil, but if you like the supernatural then start with Odd Thomas, followed by Forever Odd. Finally if you like a book that takes you back to the old school with a new twist then try his new Frankenstien editions.

Chicken Soup for the Soul series !!!!
Doesn't matter what age or gender you are, the books are awesome !!! There are lots of diff books. Teenage Soul, Mother's Soul, Father's Soul, Golfer's Soul, Pet Lover's Soul, Teacher's Soul, etc.
April Raintree is also a good book. Not sure on who the author is but it's bout this girl named April who's Metis & is ashamed of her race... Her sis on the other hand, is proud to be Metis.
I'm not sure bout this book, but it's my sis's fave book. Non-fiction too, so that's what makes it hard to read... Kids' (twins anywayz) stepdad abuse them & do really bad things to them. They were born & raised 40 min away fr my Mom's place. My Dad knows/knew one of the kids who was mentioned in the book. Oh, btw, it's called, "Where Children Run"... almost forgot to give you da title... lol..

If you've got a stomach for graphic details about abuse, poverty, and growing up (not for the faint of heart), I recommend these long-respected classics:
- "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker.
- "Bastard Out of Carolina" by Dorothy Allison.
If you want to read a book that will make you want to pack up your bags and enter the world, read another two classic books:
- "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer.
- "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac.
If you want to read something chilling, read:
- "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote.
