Why did Michelle Williams recieve such rave reviews for her performance in Brokeback Mountain? I'm not trying to hate on her & I'm not saying it was a bad performance, but everyone else seems to think she was just about the best thing about the picture. Your point of view, please!

She did a wonderful job of acting. Period. I agree, the character didn't have a lot going for it, but she did a good job portraying the character, such as it was.

I agree 100%! I think Michelle Williams did a good job, but I was *much* more impressed by the three other young actors in the movie. Anne Hathaway really made a huge impression on me for having not-so-much screen time in the movie. Great movie!

She played the part well, but I thought she was boring. Personally, I liked Jake Gyllenhaal's performance much better.

I agree, the movie in general received more acclaim than was due.

bad movie. bad acting from all of them. hollywood friendly story.
