I told her to get the Creative Zen :M which is like the ipod but with better features like fm radio and voice recorder, and comes in 5 colors.Ipod's I think are so overrated.First off everyone has one and who wants to listen to the same damn song over and over.If you have an fm tuner like Creative and other mp3 players you can listen to the radio and record the song off the radio.

Not an ipod beacuse Ipods overpriced, and they dont have as many features as any other mp3 player, for example the Creative zen Microphoto compared to the ipod they are both the same price 160, but the zen has more features, and more space, the ipod doesnt have the organzier in it like the zen does, nor does it have the FM radio. So, I think she should look into getting a Creative Zen Microphoto 4gb, check it out and compare for yourself on www.creative.com, the factory prices are always a little higher. www.jr.com has good prices.

i have an ipod nano and it is great! there are a few things that stand out about it:
1. it is incredibly small making it the most portable besides the shuffle but you wouldn't want a shuffle because the material its made out of is cheap and it has no screen.
2. it has a nice color screen and u can get one that can either hold 240 songs ($149) 500 songs ($199) or 1000 songs ($249)
3. and finally not only is the sound quality great but its also the longest lasting ipod around because its the only one without a hard drive. the hard drive is a disk which is found in all ipods except the nano that will burn out in about 2 years or so making the ipod stop working . and then u would have to replace your hard drive which would cost more money.
and also my friend has an micro zen and i tried it and i didn't like it at all. plus itunes has the largest selection of songs out of any website. but the down side is that since its small it is more likely to get lost so if your sister gets 1 she has to be responsible enough to not loose it
hope this helps : )

I have a 2nd gen. mini ipod (i got it last may) but they stopped making those, It works well , its 4 gb, thats plenty of room, no need to get anything bigger unless you have tons of songs and you constantly listen to them all(over 1000) I thought that I would need the 30 gb or more but I've had it for a little over a year now and i only have about 500 songs. There's no need to buy a huge expensive one if apple ( or another company) comes out with a better version. I think those nanos are under 200 now, thats okay i guess. It really depends on what she personally prefers though. Go to best buy( or any other electronic store) and have her play around with a few (ipod, nano, iriver, dell etc.) The only thing about the ipod, if you get one, buy a protection plan! Mine had some problems a couple months after i got it so i took it to the store and they gave me a new one free.

Well, I have a Ipod Mini and it is built like a brick, but the batt. life went from 8 hours to about 2 hours in 1 1/2 years. Also, it cost $60+ to get the batt. replaced by an outside firm.
I would be wary of getting an expensive player that did not allow you to replace the batt.
However, the IPOD is very easy to use and can take the abuse. If you plan to use it where it will be dropped, ex. health club, then it may be better than plastic models

First off, she should get what she wants. My bother has a creative, but didn't push it on me, while I want an iPod.
Also, if she listens to the radio a lot, then it might be better, but for someone like me who HATES the radio, who cares if it has a fm transmitter in it.
Finally, I wanted a Video iPod because it has the bigger hard drive (30g). My iTunes has over 7 g of music on it, and the Nano wouldn't hold it all.
Let her look at them, play with them, and then decide. If she thinks one is better then the other, then that's her choice.

Ipod are the most famous, but the problem with Ipod is that the batteries are built in and will only last about a year. it cost more then $100 and 3-4 month to ship back to ipod to replace the battries. to me that's a rip-off.
I say get a MP3 player with replaceable batteries.

get the ipod nano 1Gb. the ipod shuffle doesn t have a screen to check what song is playing and the ipod video is too much for an mp3 player
if you are a student or know a student, u can get one really cheap.

an ipod is guartneeted to work good, if it didnt no one would by it. also i would get the ipod becuase now a days its cool to have the 'ipod'. its like a trend. if she is in high school or somewhere were here friends and peers have them or think they are cool, she might be a little embarssed or upset that she if she has a regular mp3 player. i would defeitly stick to the ipod.
