Mistakes in play calling
they went away from the run which got them to the big game and Hassleback threw for over 40 passes in the superbowl. The linebackers couldnt stop the run at all allow parker to run over them and keep getting first downs. The refs also made some questionable calls but they were no excuse to loose how they did.

A little of all three. Come on look at all those dropped balls. I know that the balls were fresh and hard to handle but the Steelers could do it. I call that lack of talent not a mistake. If the other team can't make catches either then it is more of a mistake to not their fault as a general thing. Made some mistakes as well. I don't really think the bad calls cost them the game but their were some that went against them, some on both sides but we are focusing on why the Seahawks lost, and I think that hurt them as well.

Refs....plain and simple.....and the fact that they were playing the media darling Steelers, look at the media blitz leading up to the super bowl, you would never know Seattle was playing. Big Market against Little Market, the NFL will make sure the big market wins every time, more money to be made, alot more Steeler fans than Seattle.....they did there job well!!!!

a. refs won the game for the steelers. An all-around terrible effort by officials. Replay that game with different refs and the seahawks have a much better chance.

In this order:
(1)Officiating was terrible-more so for the Seahawks...
(2)They went against a great defense & a little better than above average offense-in Steelers!
(3)The tight-end(Jeremy Stevens) dropped the ball numerous times in key situations!!!
(4)They had at least two or three missed oppurtunites-they did not capitalize on steelers mishaps....
(5)The coach(Mike Holmgren)should've went on a diet b4 the season began-if you ask me he can't think with all that blubber on his fathead & body"freakin aye MIKE...put down the damn Twinkies"!!!!!!
(6)They didn't use enough trick plays.......

Seahawks were conned in S/B 40. The followers comprehend it, the media knows it and at the moment even the referee agreed and also you won't be able to get a lot more suitable unanimous than that. In answer to the unique question Cowher convinced, Bettis likely.

Seattle has the talent. They also had their chances to play well enough to win, even though the ref's cost them.

I'm not a Seattle fan, but they did get hosed by the refs. It can demoralize a whole team if they believe the refs/NFL brass are against them.

Ask coach Holgrem why they lost. The real reason and not his whiney excuses about the refs. Give it up clonesfan, the Bengals wouldnt have gotten past Denver if they beat Pittsburgh
