Why is it rare for canada to expierience hurricanes?

I don't think the ocean water temp is warm enough up there to feed a good hurricane.

Besides the fact that Canada is rarely in a hurricane's path, hurricanes are only stable in warm waters. Canada, for being in the north, has little warm water, and has little area where it even borders water.
It is still possible for a tropical storm to hit Canada.

well because if one were to hit shore on florida the further north the hurricane travels the dryer the air gets thus reducing the size of the hurricane.

plus its imposible for a hurricane to form in the waters near canada because even though it still might be part of the ocean the water is far to cold to have one form.

They weaken as they go over US, hurricanes always weaken over land. They had 2 in 1995 category 3 Ophelia & category 2 Luis. A major category 5 hasn't hit since the 50's.
