Faith is a tool that people use to justify beliefs when there is no logical reason to believe otherwise.
Fate is an inevitable end to a set of events, and is upheld by fatalists; who are an extremest version of determinists.
They are completely different instances, and the only commonality they share is that fatalism would state that you have no choice than to have whatever faiths you hold.

Faith is something you believe in. Its something you have got a connection with and go to for spiritual needs. Its any person, thing, place or point of time which gives you positive thoughts and makes you happy.
Fate is your destiny. It was written when you were born and unfortunately, you cant have a copy of it.
Faith is yours. its what YOU believe in. It can change
You cannot alter your Fate.

Simple. Faith is something you dont question and follow it blindly,where is fate is something you make for yourself. If you want to do something really badly your will have to strive to do itthe best way you can to succeed and not fail , and if after doing your best you still fail you will have to try again if you are ambitions and not then say what to do it was my fate to fail!you must have trust in your capabilities. Have a positive attitude and you will succeed.

faith is believing that God controls our fate (well we control but he's there and if we let him, He'll lead us) fate is believing that our own lives or nothing at all controls our fate.

faith is beliving, determinist is based on gods will because he the all knowing and know where your path is heading , fate is based on freewill or sometimes you can forsee your future, but not as an exageration,
